No biggie but their per gallon rate is 5.90 where everywhere else was 2.29 per gallon. .
Long story short, if you're thinking about renting from them, don't! Terrible customer service and dishonest pricing. You'll end up spending the same money for hertz or Alamo(either of which I'd be happy to give a few extra dollars to to never have to deal with place again) and they're located in the airport, so no need for a shuttle.
I did have any issues with Value rent a car.
It took us where we needed.

Wish I could give zero. Even though I booked nine pm pickup, they close at 8pm and never emailed me or contacted me. When I called, nobody answered for days. So even if I did land at the airport and they were open, I don't know how I would have gotten there. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Then when I talked to the Manager, he outright lied and said he was there, even though the website says they were closed and their voicemail says they were closed. Biggest fraud every, they should be shutdown.
We didn't need extra insurance . I had my own.
If I could give zero stars I would. I'll NEVER be renting from this place again. First, I call to have a shuttle pick me up from the airport only to have the call sent to a nondescript voice mail box. Didn't say the name of the rental place or anything, kind of shady. After calling back another 3 times I finally spoke to a real person. It took them 2 hours to get a shuttle over to the airport. It then took MAYBE five minutes in the shuttle to get to the hotel they're based in (I could have walked there twice in the amount of time it took to get a shuttle. Would have walked had I known...). Then when I arrive, I mentioned how long it took and received a monotone "sorry, there was traffic". Must have been some traffic jam to cause a 5 minute ride to take 2 hours. Did I receive anything for my inconvenience? Nope! On top of it all, when I booked the car I was quoted $118. Upon arriving it turned out the total cost was about $380 with the bare minimum insurance and no extras.
Otherwise. ..Shuttles run every half hour from the hotel.
I rented a Ford Fiesta.
I had to pay for gas at end because I used about 2 gallons from my condo to drop off.
It was a little older 65,000 kms in it.
I don't normally leave reviews but I had to warn people from this car rental place. We Waited at the airport for 40 minutes for a shuttle ride that took 5 minutes. If the shuttles only come every half hour then they just need to tell people that rather than leaving us waiting there. The rude lady at the front (Sye?) kept answering the phone while helping us and made the insurance ridiculously dramatic. Never had such a hard time getting a car
The car we received was an old remanufactured Toyota Camry that had multiple dents on every panel on the car. The whole experience ruined my vacation. Worst experience at a car rental site in my entire 35 years of traveling.

The worst car rental experience in my 30 years plus of business travel. I contacted my insurance company and had them to provide the proof of insurance requested on the Web site for Value Car Rental. I handed that document to the agent at check in and he asked if I wanted to buy the additional insurance. When I said I brought proof that my company USAA covers me in that situation, he started threatening me with all kinds of scenarios in which I would personally have to pay not only for the deductible but for all of the days the car was out of commission and all of the missed rental. I got so angry that I turned over the negotiations to my wife. I wanted to go back to the airport and rent from a reputable agency. It took over an hour from the time we arrived until we walked out to get the car because he slow walked the paperwork from the point of refusal of the insurance.
