Never. Ever again!! Landed at Terminal B, went to the Payless counter, which was closed and had a note to go to Terminal A , okay 20 minutes later I find it Left with the car. THREE miles away from the airport, it's like something is dragging underneath kicking up stones. I pull over, look and see nothing but call roadside. THREE hours later. I am writing this while still sitting on the side of the freeway!!! Call the manager at the Orlando location... mailbox full. After 10 times trying to reach their regular customer service I finally got someone and told them the situation. It is not their policy to send a car. I must wait for the tow truck. I asked if I was going to at least get a discount and the woman who barely spoke English said is there anything else I can help you with. I said I guess that means no and she hung up. Great start to my vacation and I will post everywhere and tell everyone DO NOT USE PAYLESS!!!
I see the poor reviews here but I have to say I had a good experience. While it took quite a while to get my car, Miss Hannah at the Orlando airport location did a wonderful job. I could not have asked for someone more customer service oriented. There were no cars available in the very low price range I had signed up for but she made sure I received a great car at the price committed to. The car was great. When I returned the car, the person checking me in was very fast and professional. You can't beat the value and this great team made all the difference in the experience.
They also stated, bring the car back with 3/4 of a tank of gas(which I did) but when I returned the vehicle the agent told me there wasn't enough gas in the tank so they charged my credit card an additional $13.50 for 2 gallons of gas...
Landed to Orlando to find out they won’t allow our insurance company to cover the cost of the insurance. They will collect their money right away if anything happens. They will also charge you extra for insurance. That’s not what was told to us when you call the 1800 number. We brought our insurance card and the guy at the front desk said “we don’t take this, we work different here”. Terrible service at the front desk! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Hidden fees. We ended up getting another company.
Reserved car on line for $219.00 (all taxes included) for 5 days, When I arrived to pick up the vehicle the bill changed to $240.00, they claimed the proper taxes weren't applied (Not my fault, it was your web site that gave me the quote) I paid the extra money. They also tried to upsell me on there insurance but when I refused the wanted my Allstate policy number and expiration date. I had to call my agent to comply which took an additional 20 minutes. (I called the previous day to verify my car reservation and they never informed me I needed that information).
I waited an 1 hour and 15 min to rent my car so if you are on a tight timeline, I wouldn’t advise going here. They only had one associate and she had to leave the area to go to their sister associates counter to print the documents. My car was brand new with less than 200 miles but was saturated in cigarette smoke, especially when using the AC, which is a necessity in Florida. So now I’ll have to trade the car in for one that doesn't stink and wait in that line all over again. I’ve rented several times from MCO in the last few weeks and recommend Alamo, Dollar or Thrifty. They have computers to check out with if they’re lines are long.
I WILL NEVER USE THE COMPANY AGAIN. WHEN THEY PULL THIS S**T THEY ACTUALLY LOOSE CUSTOMERS,
