The vehicle I wanted was spot-on and quite clean. Picking up the vehicle was quite a bit of a walk for a premium plus customer, it seemed we were at the very end of the lot passing the exact same vehicles many times before arriving at our vehicle. Vehicle itself was awesome. But dropping it off again was a bit of a maze. Overall it was great.
Picked up a premium car from Orlando and got a puncture the same day. Avis sent recovery truck straight away and man directed me to an Avis center to pick up another car, even though there was a shortage due to the income Hurricane Irma. It was the last car they had, but although it wasn't valeted and was a bit worse for wear, it got us to our next destination. I called Avis a week later who gladly switched the car to a nice SUV at no extra cost. Will definitely use Avis again.
The worst and longest line I have ever waited in. Arrived in Orlando at 8:45 pm. Arrived at Avis with nine people ahead of me in line. Waited an hour to get to the front desk. At the front desk, it took an additional hour to be released to go get our car. They need to figure out something more time efficient or hire more people because this was absolutely insane.
I cannot begin to describe how wonderfully helpful the individuals are working in the rental return area! I left my wallet in the vehicle when I was ready to depart Orlando. Two of the gentlemen spent so much time and effort searching and assisting me. I’m incredibly grateful for their assistance from the bottom of my heart! Muchas gracias!
You need to go downstairs, outside, across the road into the parking lot - it's only when you're approaching the escalators opposite the terminal that you then start to see signs talking about any of the car rental companies. Once you've found them it's easy.
This isn't necessarily an AVIS issue alone, but as a major customer of the airport they will have huge influence on signposting to their depot from the terminal building, and should really be pushing for something better.
The choice of vehicles and speed of service at this location is really good.....once you've found where to go. It's not at all clear at the main desk in the terminal building that if you're a "Preferred" customer you don't queue up there but instead go straight to the depot. Once you've figured that out it's a not at all clearly signposted where the actual depot is, and this is despite having used this location before!
