No frills atmosphere, looks like your basic hole in the wall Japanese restaurant. Though the food is fresh with my wife really liking the rice, wait staff is super attentive, and prices reasonable.
Owner was the gentleman preparing our meals, a good sign because no one cares more for a business's product than the owner. Per waitress, the owner opened Aki more than 20 years ago. No surprise because good businesses tend to last.
Best Japanese food ever Reccomended: Lunch Box Set with Ramune soda. But be prepared for a tip you have to pay. But overall awesome and will come back

Bearing the simple sign, "Japan Food", Aki is a great place, a hidden gem in the restaurant-topia of Orlando. The Japanese characters and sushi decorations give the feeling that the employees care about making you feel at most in Japan as possible. A bar- like structure exists at the back of the shop, but instead of alcohol, sushi can be seen being made. But the great service you get as seated at a table is followed by the better food. It is undeniably authentic Japanese food. I know someone who went to Japan and they said it was "the best I found in Florida". Great food, not too crowded, and well worth the price, Aki is one restaurant you won't forget!
Stopped by here twice while I was on Orlando for work, loved it. Great food and excellent service, good prices as well. Only downside is I didn't have time to stop by a 3rd time.
