Overall decent food, but quality doesn't justify the price.
Crab stuffed avocado appetizer was a good dish. Fair priced, considering crab isn't cheap. A bit saucy, but very tasty. Recommend.
She-crab soup was very disappointing. Crab was delicious and savory. Problem was there were only a few small lumps in a bowl otherwise filled with a thin bland base of heavy cream with a sprinkle of black pepper. Felt like I was eating steamed milk. For a $9 bowl, I would have expected far more meat and a more inventive base.
I tried my wife's dish. She got the snapper. Same price as the duck, though more justified being fish... had it been fresh. Tasted very fishy, unpleasant stale and salty aftertaste. The home fries were a strange and, IMO, an inappropriate side. I can't recommend paying $26 for mediocre fish and breakfast potatoes,
Very eloquent space. Homely. Live and pleasant piano music. Paid for our valet, which was nice.
I'm not a duck guy, but their duck and waffle dish is very unique... and quite tasty! Duck was cooked well. Blueberry sauce was delicious. Waffles were a little chewy but tasty. The duck had a slight subtle unpleasant aftertaste in my mouth that I often get when the meat comes straight from a farm, which I suppose is a good thing... tasted very fresh. It's a little pricy.
Absolutely phenomenal. One of the best overall dinners we have had in a while. You can absolutely taste the fresh ingredients and that everything was made in house. Definitely made my wife's birthday. The crab soup is freaking amazing and make sure to order the skillet peach cobbler to top it all off at the end. Great food great service will definitely be back
Such a cozy and beautiful place! The service is great the ambiance is very romantic as well, and the food just tastes really good. I loved the lamb chops, and the final touch to close the deal was live music by a great pianist! Couldn't be more surprised and satisfied with such memorable experience! Thank you!!
I planned a dinner event for 100 people, so we bought out the whole restaurant. I have done a lot of events before and this was by far the most seamless experience as an event planner. They made the planning and day of logistics so smooth, and not to mention the food was fantastic! Thanks to Kathrine, Jessica, Brenda, Jeff and the whole crew.
We were the only ones there our entire stay aside from 2 other couples. Can't say I'm surprised given the overall quality that doesn't quite meet the price.
We were here for a corporate event, which booked out the entire venue. So, sorry to the would-be patrons who couldn't get in! They looked after us excellently, with varied, tasty food and delicious drinks (the German member of our party was particularly impressed that there were TWO different weißbieren behind the bar).
