Place always so clean and employees so curtious willing to help at all times. They just not teli u which isle they take to find what u r looking for.
This Deli staff is constantly in bad moods. Not thankful or talkative at all to guests. In the past, I have waited upwards of 20 minutes simply to approach the front of the sub-case while observing 7-8 other Deli employees doing anything but help waiting customers (this is what finally prompted me to call the corporate complaint department). What are they doing?? It’s customer care rule #1 in stores. If you have a long line, you jump in quickly with a smile as back-up.
This publix is always clean, and the staff is usually very friendly. I would give 5 stars if they didn't stop carrying like 7 things that I buy on a regular basis due to food allergies. Boo.
As I told the assistant store manager when we spoke by phone - HIRE SOME ENTHUSIASTIC COLLEGE AGE ASSOCIATES TO WORK IN THIS DELI. You have Valencia College minutes down the street with young talent who are certainly excited to work hard. Get rid of these people who move slow as molasses and who, apparently, don’t know how to crack a smile.
Today was extremely annoying again. I asked for a pound of turkey and also for a pound of chicken. I literally had to show the Deli man three different times images in the Boar’s Head book as to what I wanted specifically. It took him about 3-4 minutes just to get his head around what I was wanting, and he also had to ask another associate for help. He sliced it up (slowly and obviously unsure). It took a lengthy amount of time. Other people stood around waiting for help for at least five minutes.
I never got an acknowledgment email back or any kind of apology.
I went home. Pulled the packages out........HAM!! I received chicken and HAM. No turkey as I had requested. It’s so baffling after I literally pointed out photos of what I wanted. I truly did not think I needed to check this person’s work after being so clear.
Always been a big fan of Publix, but recently while on a Atkins induction diet I bought a lemon pepper rotisserie that looked crispy to me (which I like) and while at work , for my surprise, it was actually a crispy barbecue chicken labeled as lemon pepper.
I won't totally stop shopping at Publix, because it's in the corner of my house, but will definitely start exploring other supermarkets around.
I never minded paying more for great customer service, but I felt there was none in this case. I sent an email feedback because it somewhat mess up my diet, but most importantly, while I do not have food restrictions/allergies, some people do.
This 1 star rating is only because of the Deli. This is as of October 2017. It is truly always a bad experience. I’ve called corporate weeks ago. I’ve spoke to the assistant store manager. Nothing is changing.
THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO SHOP, EXTRA CLEAN STORE, EXTRA FRIENDLY WORKERS, EXCELLENT QUALITY OF FOOD AND ITEMS!!!! YOU DON'T SEE, EMPTY CHICKEN BONE LAYING AROUND OR THINGS LIKE THAT!!!!! THE WORKERS HERE, TAKES PRIDE IN THEIR STORE AND EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICES!!!! EVEN THE CUSTOMERS ARE FRIENDLY, LOL!!!!!!
I know this all may sounds slightly petty, but I have worked for over two decades in customer service giving phenomenal service. I train employees now on how to give exceptional service. THIS DELI is failing at providing good service and it is not what customers expect when shopping at a Publix store. This is exactly what I don’t want from Publix. I spend extra money and shop at Publix to avoid terrible / “could care less” service like this.
