Overall the experience was alright, though definitely not as magical as I remember (unless you have a magical wallet)
It lost points for a few things. There were no screens on any of the doors it windows, even though there is an excellent mosquito breeding ground like 5 feet from any window.
The other might be just Disney as a whole, but everything is extremely expensive. It is difficult to have a sit down dinner for under $100 and it feels as though it's a cash grab. The campfire / marshmallow roast is a joke, you are given a single marshmallow with the option of buying a $10 s'mores kit. Considering the cost of rooms, I couldn't believe it. Furthermore there are no seats to enjoy the fire, which is pretty unfortunate.
Stunning! Attention to detail in the decor is on point and the overall atmosphere at the lodge is wonderful. Staff are friendly, rooms are large and tastefully decorated, with beautiful views over the surrounding fauna and wildlife. Summer Sandy in the Whispering Canyon Cafe is swell! :D would love to be staying here longer if we could, will be sad to leave. Thank you Disney!
The main lodge is really impressive. It’s a massive log cabin that has a great ambiance, especially around Christmas time. However the rooms were lacking and were small and old. The pool and spa were nice and is pretty close to magic kingdom. Not on the monorail though.
The service is excellent even though the servers tell you they are the worst server in the dining room. You don't ask me catsup you yell for! Just great family fun. Go enjoy a great family meal at Disney that is a great value. A great dining and entertainment experience.
Starting with the dinner signature skillet dish it is served family style. It is worth every penny it is great. The ribs are dry rubbed and served with just a light coating of barbeque sauce, they are fantastic. The chicken served with the Skillet was also mouth watering.
Stayed here close to Halloween (2017). The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are both well kept and an excellent sight to see. Having the option to rent a boat or bike is nice and the new cabins look awesome.
Love the location and surroundings. Very quiet and pretty area. Only went there to eat and walk around. Very fun restaurant there. LOTS of food! Be careful asking for ketchup. :)
