Get there early before gates open because it takes forever to actually get there and not on a Holiday or weekend. Make a list of what you want to ride/do first. Go directly to the biggest most important ride, we like Kong and Harry Potter and Spiderman, get off that one and go to your next. Take little breaks and don't dilly. We were able to cover 4 big attractions with less than 50 minutes of wait. For a theme park, the food was not terribly priced, but there is not much choice. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the park.
My family and I had a wonderful time visiting Islands of Adventure yesterday! One thing that I found incredibly helpful was the child swap! It’s genius. It was very helpful that we did not have to wait in lines twice. There was a nice room with a changing table and tv for us to wait in and then swap after my husband and daughter went on the ride. We were very pleased about this and also found that we were able to go on more rides because we weren’t swaping and having to go to the end of the line. The park was very well done. We would definitely come back!
If it's busy buy an express pass otherwise you'll be waiting in lines or if your a tight arse like me pick your time to go when it's quiet, get there early and smash the rides first before the rush.
I love this place. It's very fun and great for friends/family trips. The new King Kong ride is amazing. Jurassic park is still so fun but needs some fixing up on the dinosaurs due to wear and tear. If you go on the Hulk rollercoaster, remember to take EVERYTHING off and store in a locker. Harry Potter ride is extremely fun so definitely check that out. The whole place is great to be honest.

The only thing I would say is to tell the staff to tell people getting on Dudley do right that your gonna get real wet because we nearly destroyed 2 mobile phones!
We had a grand time and everything was amazing!! It was an unforgettable time for my wife and I. Greatest thanks to Celina!! She did a caricature of my wife and I to add to our 10 year anniversary memory! Truly a gifted artist and wonderful person! Just watching her study our faces and asking us about our time there made the picture truly remarkable! The park staff was truly cordial amidst the masses at every attraction. I don’t know how they do it but everything was a wonderful experience to partake. Thanks for the memories!!
I see a lot of reviews of people whinging about the price, I recently paid 60 dollars for a night in a hotel that I couldn't use anything in because it was so disgusting, I think 90 dollars for a day on all those rides, with all of those staff and overheads is pretty reasonable. At the end of the day your paying for a brand.
