As one of the two opening day rides which still actually resemble their original incarnations (although both have gone through some pretty big changes over the years, and this one more than Living with the Land), Spaceship Earth holds a very special place in my heart. I remember my first visit to Epcot, looking up at the giant "golf ball" and wondering how they built something so huge, how it wasn't falling on my head when walking through it, and how in the heck they put that ride in there.
My daughter visited Epcot Center in Orlando, Florida. Spaceship earth was so much fun. It's a great ride into the future and you don't have to work up a sweat. Just sit back and take a ride through space.
I love the ride. It was good to begin with it is great now that the right is sponsored by Siemens and his been updated in many ways. there are now interactive touch-screen monitors in the cars and the end of the ride is updated for modern times. Also the narration is updated with I believe Dame Judi Dench lending her vocal talents.
Tall-person warning: your back might cover up the speakers, if you lean forward a little, it's ok.
Hadn't been on this ride since I was a kid...still fantastic! Now, my kid loves it as well!
Enchanting. It is the entire history of mankind from the perspective of technological development & how technology has progressed, and how that has impacted our lives. Concentration is on the technologies related to the exchange & spread of information.
Great journey through time and scientific story about us as human beings through time.
My youngest daughter accidentally set our audio-presentation to Portuguese, so be careful not to let little ones touch the screen until after the language-setting time has elapsed.
And then me, being the nerd I was/am, fell absolutely in love with the educational ride experience within.
When the zombie apocalypse comes, I'll move into that room and live there, looking down at the earth.
Educate the kids and take them here. Fantastic games and learning attributes after the ride.
Highly recommended.
But the best part of the whole thing is when you enter the space room where you, for a nice long period of time, get to look down on earth as if you're floating above it.
