Nice small bakery. Has amazing Boba Milk Tea as well. Has a large selection of breads and other small pastries but you need to arrive early or the selection is smaller but still really good.
Best place to get fresh Egg Tarts, the main reason why I come here. Get there early to get them fresh because they will run out. You can also call ahead to so that they can 'hold' a few tarts for you. The tarts come in a box of two.
Prices are cheap, service is friendly. Open every day, cash only. I'm glad I live ninety minutes away or I'd be a sphere.
I love this bakery. They had 4 different kinds of hot dog buns. Very creative and delicious.
One last thing this place is 'Cash Only' so hit up and ATM before arriving.
I've been to Chinese bakeries all over the country (though admittedly never in China) and we're pretty lucky to have among the best of them here in Tampa. Everything at Sun Pearl is not only consistently tasty and fresh, but the variety and creativity on display is a lot of fun! It's not the typical assortment of coconut cream, red bean, pork floss, and pineapple buns. These guys experiment. Sometimes you'll find neon pink pastries with dried cranberries in them, or chocolate frosted buns stuffed with berries and cream. Their matcha sponge with red beans and cream is gorgeous. Or try the chocolate sponge with cream and walnuts. It's all good.
Love all the variety this bakery has to offer and their cakes were artistically created. However, after buying a dozen different desserts, we found some to be slightly dry while most of them were lacking in flavor.
