6. Day 3: I settle down to a table to work, not realizing that a job interview is in full swing. Looking the two of them over, I pack up and walk out, never to return.
5. Day 2: a patron tries to sell me one of his products. By the way, I was trying to read but no such luck.

The South Creek Branch is not a library in the usual sense. It violates a basic principle: libraries are places for quiet reading. They are about human development and self-teaching. Not this one.
1. The reading area is small, hot, and too brightly lit. It is not separate from the stacks or other areas.
This library caters to easy reading levels and has a minimal selection. The kids are needs a lot of work. The staff need to interact more with guests.
2. Patrons feel it's their right to talk loudly. It's not their right anyplace else.
If you want to read, this is not the library for you. If you want to borrow a DVD or a CD then it's just right. But isn't there a slight problem here? The first sentence is about education while the second isn't.
Excellent place. Books, video, resources. My kids and I make regular stops here. Great kids area. Large number of computers.
4. Day 1: I bring a donation to the library. It's a picture book on the chemical elements, roughly at the high school level. Nothing too challenging. Looking at it, the (apparent) library head declared, THROWING THE BOOK, "This is a technical book. These books belong in the Central Library." (Problem: the Central Library is 17 miles away in the downtown.) And where are her manners? My response is never.again.to.donate.
I'm not in the habit of writing bad reviews, especially bad reviews about libraries. But South Creek is just plain off-the-charts terrible. In fact it has the worst reading room I've ever seen. Worse than Iowa, worse than Illinois, much worse than the New York State Library, and much, much worse than the Boston Public Library, including the tiny but self-respecting Bunker Hill Branch and the wonderful Melrose Public Library. Usually a library trip is pleasant, even on a nice day with the birds singing, but not to this one. Part of the problem is a surly staff that isn't interested in education, even though libraries are all about education. Aren't they?
(Original Review)
Very old library. There are no study rooms or quite areas to read or work. The kids section is very very old and boring. No interesting areas for the kids. Lack of kids books and stories.
I've edited my original comments, but my view is the same: it's a lousy library with a lousier reading room. My solution was to rent an office in a business center. The reading that I wanted to do is much easier in this more professional environment.
Great people and service big variety of books movies , magazines and comics
Well-managed libraries are easy to find around the country. The citizens of Orlando deserve much better than South Creek.
Below is a list of bad days I had at South Creek.
3. Surprisingly, the librarians talk in the reading area. Where is their professional training?
