Thank goodness the pump shut off at $75. Half tank by the way.
On Sa. 10/20/2017 I wanted to fill up my car with gasoline. All gas stations I saw around Premium Outlets Orlando showed prices about 2.50 $ and under. I wasn't suspicious, when I entered the Shell gas station "Vineland Shell, 8788 Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32821"
Gas is $5.99 per gallon, which, as other reviewers have pointed out, is ridiculous. We were reluctant to buy anything from there for this reason, but it was the only convenience store close to our hotel (Marriott Village). The convenience store prices are marked up, but not too much above regular gas station prices. A 6 pack of Stella Cidre is $12, chocolate bars are $1.30, large pop cans are $1, Lipton Pure iced teas are $1.79. I overheard him telling a customer in front of me in the line who said she worked at Disney that he would discount her gas. It sounded like they do that for all Disney employees. I wasn't able to see what price she paid to confirm, though.
Like others that posted. Did not realize the gas was 6 dollars until too late. What a scam. Hiding his prices in the bushes. Yes the prices are posted on the pump but it's a shell, should be comparable to the stations nearby.
I wrote the same day to Shell on their website and complained about this "tourist trap".
Warning!!! Stay away!!! The $5.99 per gallon showed in the pictures is not a mistake: it's what they actually charge the candid souls that fall into the trap. That's more than twice te price of any other gas station in Orlando!
Holy cow. Tourist trap hell. Came here for gas and was six gallons in before I realized I hadn’t read $2.99/gallon but $6.99/gallon. Whoever runs this gas station should be ashamed of their lack of character and integrity to rob people like this.
But for Shell it was not worth to answer a "cheated" costumer!
With this post of my experience I want to warn all costumers, who need gasoline and are trusting the brand "Shell" to avoid Shell especially the Shell gas station "Vineland Shell, 8788 Vineland Rd, Orlando FL 3282, because I had to learn, that I was not the first and only one" Vineland Shell" have caught in this "tourist trap"
It was a cruel surprise to notice, that" Shell Vineland, Vineland Rd, Orlando" took 5.999$ (=6.00$) per gallon. That's dobble the price of all gas stations in this area.
