I made the appointment over the phone and had never been to their office before that day. And when I was briefly in their office, I only spoke to the receptionist (who was very rude) and did not sign or even look at any paperwork.
My last visit I was late to my appointment, expecting to be sent away with no sympathy and with a cancellation fee. Instead the front desk greeted me with concern and asked me if I was okay. They tried their best to accommodate me for my own tardiness and took care of me.
They are extremely dishonest and only want your money.
Do not go here if you don't want to get scammed. I was very late to my appointment because I was told the wrong time for my appointment when I called to double check, and then had a lot of trouble both finding the place and finding parking.
I have been going to here for years. Unfortunately I will no longer go to them for the unprofessional practices. Lose your prescription 35.00 or you can come in again and see the doctor and pay another 35.00 . I travel extensively and lost my prescription....first time. No compassion. No...we will let it slide this time. I could understand if I lost it every time, but this is the first time in 7 years. Not my cup of tea.
I have been struggling with mental health problems for some time now. I have seen multiple doctors who refused to look into the medications I was initially put on, who refused to ask questions to get to the bottom of my problems, and left me feeling helpless. For the first time, I feel like I have found a place that genuinely wants to help. The front desk staff is so friendly and efficient. Maria seems to genuinely want to ask about my problems, about my concerns, and actually find a solution. She seems to genuinely care about my health, well being, concerns...I would absolutely recommend this place to people feeling like they need help.
I have been coming to see Dr. Ocascio at APG for the past year now. He is a wonderful doctor, always friendly and genuinely cares about your well being. The administrative staff on the other hand is the absolute opposite. My only complaint about Dr. Ocascio is that his schedule is 100% inflexible (hours 8 or 9-12). They will fine you $50 if you cancel or miss an appointment and don't give them notice within 2 business days, even if you can't get through to their office which happens often. I have cancelled twice and have been able to pay my fee for the cancellation when I come in to see him the next available time. I'm assuming their policy has changed because now you have to pay the fee over the phone before you can reschedule another appointment. If you have medications that need to be filled and can't see your doctor they fine you for EVERYTHING. All they care about is money. They don't care about the mental well-being of their loyal patients one bit. I will NEVER be back to this office and do not have ONE nice thing to say about their office staff or administration.
I was still charged, which was not really fair, especially considering I was told the wrong time. I still would have been ok with paying it if they weren't charging me a hundred dollars more than what they told me the charge would be if I missed the appointment.
When my mom called to talk to them about the fee, they said they were still charging me 150 dollars because I signed paperwork saying I understood this.
I literally still have the voicemail on my phone if them clearly stating 50 dollars for not showing up, not 150.
