Minus 5 was such a great experience! The staff was incredibly nice and helpful and very fun. We did the VIP experience and had the greatest drinks. The bartender took our pictures for us and sent them to us when we were done which is always a great time. My friends and I went there to celebrate my birthday and they took such great care of me knowing it was my special day. I highly recommend this place! Especially if you want to escape this terrible Orlando heat!!
I came here for my birthday even though I meant to go to the ice bar down the road. I'm not from the area and this being the first ice bar I found I thought it was the right one. The staff was friendly but it was really slow, nothing like a night club like I thought...the thing that made me the most angry was that they said the pictures they took would have a small watermark on them, but I go to look at them on the site and it's a huge mark right in the middle of every single picture. I was so looking forward to downloading the pics but none of them are good since there's a huge logo in the middle of my face, and they want 20 dollars per pic....I don't think that's worth it. I would've given it a little better of a review if the pictures actually had a small watermark. What's the point of spending 20 dollars for a cover charge and not being able to take pictures?! Incredibly aggravating. Won't be back, REALLY WISH we found the other ice bar :(
I have been here a few times with groups of people and on both occasions we had an amazing time! The last time we experienced the VIP option and received a white or black fur coat as a part of the upgrade. We couldn't stop taking pictures before we even got inside. Once inside we started drinking our beverages in the ice glasses and the real fun began. The sculptures are awesome and I love how the lighting changes colors throughout the space. They took several pictures of us being silly and they even joined in on the fun. We all had a great time and the service was fantastic. Our pictures that we received were proof of the fun we had. I plan corporate events for a living and I feel that minus5 really is a unique experience. It is a lot larger ice bar than others as most ice bars only have a tiny area inside the space that is actually the ice bar and it's just like walking into a walk in freezer. This entire location is an ice bar with a small portion being the walk in area where you can purchase souvenirs, pay, get your gloves and jackets and place your items in lockers. I recommend going with a group of friends as with any experience, you want good company for a good time.
Really great experience! We were passing through the area and popped in to see what the hype was about. The staff at Minus5 was super friendly and the atmosphere was unlike any other! The manager said they were getting ready to host a group event that weekend...what a great idea for a party location!!! Definitely a must-see when visiting Orlando, and for locals too! Hands down better than other ice bars we've been to before! Unique, fun, great service...COLD!
I went there while on vacation this last summer, it was really expensive, and you get in there and it's cool for about 30 minutes and you get bored fast. They took my picture and they upload it and there is a huge logo covering your face and you have to pay $20 to get it I thought that was stupid just because you pay so much to get in I bought the picture it came on some pretty cool paper but not $20 special.
